Reviewing Team
Bargain Theatre have vacancies for a limited number of dedicated new reviewers to join our established team of volunteers.  You should have good writing skills, a keen interest in theatre and be able to attend London productions on a fairly frequent basis.  Please note that the majority of shows we review are fringe or off-West End and we work to tight deadlines.  We welcome applications equally from theatre industry professionals and/or regular theatre-goers.  Reviewing experience is an advantage but not essential.  As part of the process we will ask you to submit a written Review of a show you have seen recently, which will not be for publication.

Please note that new team members should also be prepared to write preview features. There will also be opportunity to conduct occasional interviews with cast and creative members.  Reviewing team members seeking additional responsibility have opportunity to join our volunteer editorial team.  All tickets to shows that we ask you to review are provided free of charge and sometimes this also includes an extra ticket so you may take a guest of your choice.

Features Editor
We are currently looking to increase our features/interview coverage and have an editorial vacancy to take this forward.  Applications of interest are invited.  You will work jointly with an established member of our team.
The Features Editor (FE) consists of 2 volunteer positions of joint stature.  The FE will be responsible for sifting through the press releases provided and prioritising previews to go on the site which involves creating and publishing a Feature from the press release information to promote the show. This does not mean every single press submission but ones the FE deems high profile to draw attention to the site or have an interesting angle. The FE will also have responsibility for allocating cast & creative interview/feature opportunities to the reviewing team and liaise with the press agencies in doing so.  Time taken to perform the role is entirely dependant upon the quantity of press releases received and the number of those which the FE determines require featuring.  It is usual that editors are also members of our reviewing team too, though this is not compulsory.
